PURPOSE: To prevent formation of bending folds without adversely affecting the dimensions of a top box by providing a woven fabric with a reinforcement means for a bending fold, and enabling sharp bending of a round-bending fold. CONSTITUTION: The lower edge of a top covering 13 is formed by laying two layers of top coverings 13 one on the other in a planar configuration and coupling the layers together to form a surface reinforcing part along an entire length to which the top covering 13 is not attached, from a top covering holding rail 8. The width of this section covers the leg side of a top-covering holding U-shaped piece 3 along the direction of height to prevent the contour of a support frame from being pushed through. A wear-resistant protective mounting piece 14 made of a rectangular piece of leather band is sewn to the inner surface of this doubled part to protect the pressed part of the top covering 13 along a dangerous range of length from the top-covering holding rail 8 to an inverted-U-shaped piece 10. Further, elongation is longitudinally applied to the center of width of the protective mounting piece 14 and a preloaded rubber tape 15 is attached thereto. This constitution can prevent formation of bending folds without adversely affecting the dimensions of a top box.
