PURPOSE:To increase critical temp. and critical current density by mixing powders of oxides of Bi, Pb, P, Sr, Ca and Cu as starting materials and sintering the mixture by heating in the air to form a multiple oxide having a specified compsn. CONSTITUTION:Powders of Bi2O3, PbO, P2O5, SrO, CaO and CuO as starting materials are weighed and mixed so as to regulate the atomic ratio of Bi:Pb:P: Sr:Ca:Cu to (1-3):(0-0.6):(0-0.5):2:2:3. The powdery mixture is molded, sintered at 800-900 deg.C for 12-600hr in the air and cooled to obtain an oxide superconducting material contg. a multiple oxide having an atomic compsn. represented by the formula (where 1<=a<=3, o<=b<=2, 0<=c<=0.5, 1<=d<=3, 1<=e<=3, 1<=f<=4 and 6<=g<=16). |
