PHOTODETECTING ELECTROPHORETIC DEVICE AND HOLDING CONTAINER FOR THIS DEVICE

PURPOSE:To simultaneously obtain the information from many migration plates with one measuring instrument by discretely and simultaneously receiving and detecting the fluorescence emitted from the end faces and near the end faces in the migration direction of plural juxtaposed gel plates. CONSTITUTION:Four sheets of the migration plates 4 form the gel plates of polyacrylamide between respectively two sheets of gel holding plates consisting of quartz plates and 30 pieces of sample injecting grooves are formed of a toothed comb in the upper part of the gel plates. The respective migration plates 4 are erected with buffers on a lower buffer tank 6 and upper buffer tanks 5 are discretely fixed to one side in the upper part of the respective migration plates 4 and are so fixed that the buffers in the upper buffer tanks 5 are supplied through the apertures on the side faces of the upper buffer tanks 5 to the upper parts of the respective gel plates. A fluorescent detector 8 is installed to the position where the respective fluorescent rays emitted from the end faces and near the end faces in the migration direction of the plural juxtaposed gel plates are discretely and simultaneously received and detected.
