PURPOSE:To enable stable deceleration command output to be generated in an automatic deceleration control for a strip material by checking errors in the circular value of a coil due to the slip of the strip material. CONSTITUTION:A rotational speed calculating circuit 15 measures the rotational amount of an unwinder 1 for a certain time T to provide rotational speed N. And a reference coil circle calculating circuit 18 obtains coil circle value Cj= VREP/N from reference speed VREP of strip steel plate 4 and the rotational speed N by a reference speed circuit 16, while said value approaches true one when the strip steel plate 4 is not accelerated or decelerated. Thus, a reference circle difference calculating circuit 19 obtains circle difference DELTACj between the circle value Cj from the circuit 18 and the previous one every time a coil 2 revolves one revolution only when the signal of an acceleration and deceleration detecting circuit 17 is absent, and compares the difference DELTACj with the circle difference DELTAC from a coil circle difference calculating circuit 9 in a data check circuit 20. DELTAC in which the difference between said DELTACj and DELTAC is less than a predetermined value beta is made proper circle difference and sent to a deceleration timing calculating circuit 10 to start the deceleration. Thus, errors in the measurement is reduced. |
