<p>PURPOSE:To set user option on an ERPROM mounting type microcomputer by providing a terminal for option selection for the hardware of a microcomputer on the upper plane of the package of the EPROM mounting type microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:All of the Vcc metallic terminal 2, the Vss metallic terminal 4, and the control signal terminal 3 connected from a pad terminal on the microcomputer with a wire are provided on the surface of the package. Also, the EPROM mounting type microcomputer consisting of the microcomputer is connected to the control signal terminal 3 and the reference clock selection control signal of the microcomputer in the package with the wire. And the control signal terminal 3 for reference clock selection of the microcomputer on the upper plane of the package is jumper-connected to the Vcc metallic terminal 2 or the Vss metallic terminal 4. In such a way, it is possible to select a reference clock used in the operation of a CPU after the microcomputer is reset, and to set the user option unswitchable by software.</p> |
