An air supply device which gives perfect welding results even in difficult operating conditions. The air supply device has a nozzle and an attachment (32) adjustably arranged thereon, the distance from the nozzle (13) and angular direction of which may be varied. Depending on the distance, part of the hot air flowing from the nozzle (13) passes not through the attachment but along its outside and preheats the film. The hot-air welding machine is used to make seam joints in plastic film.
