PURPOSE:To lower cost and to improve usability by providing a power supply line between connectors in the both ends of an optical interface cable, providing a power supply part in one of the connectors as mentioned above and supplying power to an optical/electric converter or to an electric/optical converter. CONSTITUTION:A power supply line 13 is composed of a GND line and a +5V line, for example. The power is supplied from a power source for domestic use, for example, to a power supply part 133 provided in a first connector 21. For this supplied power, a noise is cut off by an electric field capacitor and a capacitor and the prescribed power is supplied to an optical/electric conversion circuit and an electric/optical conversion circuit in the first connector. Further, this supplied power is passed through noise filters 131 and 132 and the prescribed power is supplied to the electric/optical conversion circuit and optical/electric conversion circuit in a second connector 22. Accordingly, it is not necessary to respectively provide the power supply sources being used to the conventional device to the connectors in the both ends of the optical interface cable but it is enough to provide the power supply source only in one connector. |
