The invention relates to rotary hydraulic displacement-type machines. The hydraulic axial piston machine comprises a casing (8) with a cover (9), the said casing (8) accommodating a cylinder block (2) which is mounted on a drive shaft (1) and has pistons with sliding shoes (4, 5) which are accommodated in a cage ring (12) and interact with a swashplate (7) by means of a device for pressing the sliding shoes (4, 5) against the swashplate (3). The device for pressing the sliding shoes (4, 5) against the swashplate is formed by the cage ring (12) and a spring ring (14), between which is fitted an annular insert (13). At least four uniformly distributed projections (15, 16, 17, 18) are formed on the working surface of the spring ring (14) and between these are arranged devices for deforming the spring ring (14). <IMAGE>
