PURPOSE:To obtain superconducting ceramic wire having excellent superconducting characteristics by dissolving or dispersing compounds of Bi, Sr, Ca and copper into water, adding an amine to the solution or dispersion, thickening, processing the thickened material into a wire state and heat-treating. CONSTITUTION:Inorganic acid salts (e.g. nitrate) or organic acid salts (e.g. acetate) of Bi, Sr, Ca and Cu in a composition ratio to give a superconductor are dissolved or dispersed into water. Then an amine (e.g. triethylamine) or an alcoholamine (e.g. triethanolamine) is added to the solution or dispersion and thickened by heat treatment. Then the thickened solution is processed into a wire state by a method of dripping through a capillary or a method of sticking the solution to a glass rod and pulling up, etc. Then the prepared wire is heat-treated and made into ceramic to give a superconducting ceramic wire. The ceramic wire is preferably useful for superconducting magnet, etc. |
