Device for testing empty bottles

The device contains bottle-holding assemblies which, in each case, have a bottle fastening which is fastened on the upper end of a holding shaft and onto which the bottle is fitted, and a bottle-neck holder which is fastened on the lower end of a holding shaft and can engage in the bottle neck of a bottle. The first-mentioned holding shaft can be rotated about its axis, while the last-named holding shaft can be moved vertically with respect to the bottle fastening. On one side of a bottle conveyor belt there is a light-emitting device, which lies opposite a light-receiving device. The bottle-neck holder and the bottle fastening consist of a material which is transparent to light, so that the bottle neck, the side walls of the bottle and its bottom region can be tested simultaneously for damage and contamination, since the whole bottle is transilluminated.
