In a vacuum brake booster in which the vacuum control valve (81) is arranged parallel to the master cylinder (55), the housing (92) of the booster acts as a supporting element for actuating elements, such as the brake pedal (60, 8) and the clutch pedal (11), as well as for the other elements. A twin master cylinder is used. By judicious choice and arrangement of the elements of the power brake and of the master cylinder, as well as of the actuating organs, an extremely short overall axial length, an exceptionally compact design of the entire aggregate and excellent conditions for highly rationalized incorporation of the entire aggregate in the automobile manufacturer's production line are obtained. |
