PURPOSE:To reduce the irregularity of varistor voltage, and to enhance the characteristics of limiting voltage by a method wherein ZnO, MnO2, and TiO2 are mixed in the respective prescribed quantities in advance, and the mixture is added after calcination. CONSTITUTION:Zinc oxide is used as a main component, bismuth, cobalt, manganese and titanate are converted into Bi2O3, Co2O3, MnO2, and TiO2 respective as a subsidiary component, and in the composition containing Bi2O3 of 0.05 to 3.00mol%, Co2O3 of 0.05 to 3.00mol%, Co2O3 of 0.05 to 3.00mol% and TiO2 of 0.1 to 2.0mol%, ZnO of 3.00mol% or more, MnO2 of 0.05mol% or more and TiO2 of 0.05mol% or more are mixed in advance, and they are added after calcination at 900 deg.C or above. |
