PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic, excellent in lubricity, having excellent characteristics, such as imparting smooth touch and moistness, without a sense of incompatibility and irritancy to the kin in embrocation thereof by blending a powdery or granular silicone rubber substance containing a prescribed amount of a silicone oil with other ingredients. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic obtained by blending a powdery or granular silicone rubber substance containing 0.5-80wt.%, especially 3.0-50wt.% silicone oil (e.g. dimethylpolysiloxane blocked with trimethylsiloxy groups at both terminals) with other ingredients. The silicone oil preferably has 10-1,000cSt viscosity at 25 deg.C. For example, a silicone rubber prepared by curing an addition reaction curing type silicone rubber composition consisting essentially of a silicone rubber prepared by curing a silicone atom-linked hydrogen atom-containing diorganopolysiloxane and an organopolysiloxane having silicon atom-linked vinyl group and a platinum-based catalyst, are cited as the silicone rubber composing the powdery or granular silicone rubber substance and contained in an amount of preferably 0.5-50wt.% based on the cosmetic.
