PURPOSE:To improve moisture resistance and durability by coating the surfaces of core particles with a coating material based on poly-4,4'-dioxydiphenyl-2,2- propane carbonate. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of core particles are coated with a coating material based on poly-4,4'-dioxydiphenyl-2,2-propane carbonate. The coating material used as a carrier for developing an electrostatic charge image is based on the poly-4,4'-dioxydiphenyl-2,2-propane carbonate but may be used after blending with styrene-acrylic resin, polyester resin, silicone resin or fluororesin. In order to regulate the electric resistance of the carrier, an electrically conductive substance such as carbon black or an electric charge controlling substance may be added or dispersed. The moisture resistance and durability of the resulting developer are improved. |
