PURPOSE:To realize automation and to decrease a cost by providing a sampling port which has a specified volume and discharge port that is opened and closed at the lower end at the down stream flow path of the detector of a liquid chromatograph, inserting a needle into said sampling port, and performing sampling. CONSTITUTION:An eluate is supplied into a six-way valve 26 from a pump 36. A needle 18 sucks a sample from a sample bottle 4 and injects the sample into an injecting port 12. The sample is picked into a sample loop 28. Then, the valve 26 is changed to a position shown by a broken line. The sample in the loop 28 is pushed out with the eluate and put into a column 30. The sample is separated and sequentially detected in a detector 40. When the detector detects the component to be picked up separately, an electromagnetic valve 46 is closed. The needle 18 is moved to the position of a sampling port 14. After the sucking, the needle is moved to the position of a vacant bottle. The sucked liquid is injected into the vacant bottle. A valve 46 is opened by the signal from the detector 40 at the end of the sampling. The needle 18 is moved to a cleaning port 16 and cleaned. Thus the apparatus can be made compact. |
