摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the hit accuracy of blowing-out and to eliminate the wasteful consumption of oxygen by measuring continuously the quantity of the C-component emitted to the outside of the furnace out of the CO2-component in waste gas during oxidation refining, detecting the content of C in a molten steel in accordance with the measured value and determining the timing for blowing out oxygen. CONSTITUTION:The atm. air is sucked from an atm. air suction part 7 into the waste gas sucked through a waste gas duct 6 and the CO contained in the waste gas is converted to CO2 by perfect combustion in the stage of subjecting the molten steel 5 to oxidation refining in an arc furnace 1. The gas is further passed through a combustion tower 8. The temp. of the waste gas is measured by a detector 9 and the waste gas quantity measured by a measuring device 10 is converted to the gas quantity at a reference temp. The quantity of the discharged C-component is determined from said value. The quantity of the residual C-component in the molten steel is determined by subtracting continuously the quantity of the discharged C-component from the analytical value of sampling which is the origin. An arithmetic display device 13 makes calculation by receiving the continuous signal of the measured value mentioned above and the once signal from an analytical device 12 and the signal of the duct diameter and displays the momentarily changing quantity of the C-component in the molten steel. A valve 14 is closed at the moment when the display values attains the target value. The refining operation is thus completed.</p>
