The sealing profile (10) is formed from an extruded elastomer material provided on at least one surface with a metal decor strip. The sealing profile has at least one electrically conductive section (21), obtained by mixing a conductive material with the elastomer material, the decor strip provided as a metal coating (22), applied to the conductive section by an electrochemical deposition process. Pref. the electrically conductive section of the sealing profile is provided by mixing metal or graphite particles with the elastomer material, the applied metal coating formed of Sn, Al, Cr and/or Zn.
