<p>LINE CUTTING DEVICE A device for cutting lines liable to foul a propeller has a stationary cutting blade 24 and rotatable cutting blades 30,32,34. Cutting edges of the blades are formed with saw-tooth serrations. The blades are curved in their plane of action, whereby inner ones of the serrations act to shear part of a large line initially, and then on continued rotation outer serrations shear outer parts of the line. The serrations act to divide the line whereby it is not all sheared at one time. Figure 1.</p> |
