PURPOSE: To simply, economically and effectively inhibit the proliferation of microorganisms on seed potato by spraying seed potato with a composition a small amount of 2,2-dibromo-3-nitrilopropionamide as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: The proliferation of microorganisms, particularly fungi and bacteria on tubers of potato is inhibited by spraying the tubers with a composition containing 10-30wt.% of a known microbicidal agent, 2,2-dibromo-3- nitrilopropionamide(DBNPA) as an active ingredient, 40-70wt.% of DPG, and 10-30wt.% of water at a weight ratio of 0.6-1.21 of 20%DBN each ton of the seed potato in the spray chamber in which the ratio the volume of the seed potatoes to the chamber space is set to 0-0.25 and the seed potatoes are sprayed with liquid particles of 0.5-4μm diameter jetted from a thermal sprayer.
