The present invention relates to a label the feature of which is to leave indelible traces when an attempt is made to pull it off the support onto which it has been bonded, especially a fiduciary document. There currently exist self-adhesive papers, known as security papers, which disintegrate into small particles when an attempt is made to remove them. However, if the counterfeiter has a little patience, he may very well remove a whole label, particularly when this label is of small dimensions. Other adhesives, also known as security adhesives, tear off the surface of the support onto which they have been applied. However, this result comes about only if the support is of poor quality, such as cardboard or offset papers. The product according to the invention allows these drawbacks to be remedied by simply adding a colouring to the adhesive mass which provides for fixing the label onto its support.
