The test stand has a simulator (20) for the ic engine which provides a signal representing the engine revs for corresp. adjustment of the quantity of fuel (M) provided by the pump (1). Pref. the simulator (20) uses a microprocessor coupled to a data mee holding the engine operating parameter data, used to provide a rev signal fed to the pump (1) via an adaption amplifier (Sn) and an engine load signal (SL) which is fed to the load setting control (28) for the fuel injection pump (1).
