Self-adjusting button intended to be used in garments, characterized in that it is comprised of two parts (1, 4; 1', 4'), one (4, 4') of which remains fixed to the garment and the other (1, 1') part may be substituted, the supporting plate or the plate fixed to the garment being provided in its central area with a protruding stem (7) which may have in its portion adjacent to its conical or sharp end (5) a threaded, thicknessed or reeded zone (6).
