PURPOSE:To smoothly perform the international switching of an electronic mail by performing reception or transmission after translating a message to required language. CONSTITUTION:When the message consisting of a message main body 21 and a header 22 is received by a user agent 11 at a receiver side via a message transfer system 16, the message is delivered to an interface part 12. The interface part 12, after discriminating first in which language the message is written based on language information recorded on the header 22, refers to a translation program constituted in a machine translation part 13, and when the message is translatable, a request to translate the message main body 21 is issued to the machine translation part 13, and a translated message main body 21 is delivered to the user agent 11. In such a way, it is possible to dispense with the translation work of the message, and to perform the international switching of the electronic mail smoothly. |
