PURPOSE:To easily decide the quality of an agricultural product without the influence of the irregularity of a surface by using lateral ultrasonic wave for the non-destructive inspection of the agricultural product without strongly pressing and press-contacting transmitting and receiving pieces to an inspection objective structural body with the lateral ultrasonic wave. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic pulse generator 20 and an ultrasonic sine wave generator 30 are provided to an inspecting device 10 for the agricultural product (radish, etc.), and a transmitting piece 40 and a receiving piece 50 are contactingly arranged in being faced to a body 90 to be inspected. An inspection sample is held to a holding base 60, and the ultrasonic wave received by the receiving piece 50 is analyzed by an oscilloscope 70 and an FFT analyzer 80. The ultrasonic wave to irradiate the agricultural product is made into the lateral ultrasonic wave, and the defective condition inside the agricultural product is inspected by the shape, magnitude or frequency of the received wave received by the receiving piece 50. Since the lateral wave is the wave motion of a shape change, the agricultural product is non-destructively inspected without being influenced by the little irregularity of the surface and without being influenced by the unevenness of a surface part to form the wave motion. |
