PURPOSE:To provide the title apparatus intended for reducing both equipment and maintenance costs, so designed that in-chamber air is introduced into a gas/liquid contact part, allowed to flow upward, and brought into contact with sprinkled water at a gas/liquid contact body, and the resultant cleaned, humidified and temperature-conditioned air is circulated in the chamber. CONSTITUTION:A chamber 10 to be temperature- and humidity-conditioned for thawing and cold insulation of a food to be treated and a gas/liquid contact part 20 are partitioned through a door, and a freezing unit is connected to a heat exchanger 48 in the chamber 10 and a second heat exchanger 24 in the gas/liquid contact part 20. Thence, in-chamber air is introduced, through a circulating fan 32, into the lower part of the gas/liquid contact part 20, allowed to flow upward, and put to heat exchange to a specified temperature when passed through a porous plate 27. At the same time, The water in a tank 22 is sprinkled downwardly from a water sprinkling pipe 28, brought into contact with the air in the form of fine foam. The air is thus cleaned, humidified, conditioned to a specified temperature, freed from excess water by a gas/liquid separator 30 to effect a proper humidified state followed by circulating the air into the chamber 10 again. |
