PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus capable of suppressing the frequency of driving for forming a toner forcible consumption pattern before and after a job.SOLUTION: In a printer being an image formation apparatus which comprises: a toner image formation part being imaging means including a photoreceptor being a latent image carrier, an exposure device being latent image formation means, and a development device being development means; and a toner adhesion quantity sensor being toner adhesion quantity detection means detecting a toner adhesion quantity on the surface of an intermediate transfer belt 8 being a surface endless mobile body to which a toner image is transferred from the photoreceptor, and forms a toner forcible consumption pattern for forcibly consuming toner and a toner adhesion quantity detection pattern MP for detecting a toner adhesion quantity in a sheet gap W being a region between image regions 55, when toner forcible consumption forcibly consuming toner of the development device is required, the image area of the toner adhesion quantity detection pattern MP is made larger than the case in which toner forcible consumption is not required.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
