A regulating device which contains a guide recess (2) in which a slide (5) is displaceably guided. The latter contains a slide body (9) onto which a guide casing (19) is drawn, on the outer periphery of which guide parts (24) are located. In the area of the guide parts (24), the guide casing (19) is movable transversely to the displacement direction (7) of the slide (5). The inside, facing the slide body (9), of the guide-casing sections (23) having the guide parts (24) can be acted upon by a compensating medium which is arranged in a hollow space (25) of the slide body (9). The guide parts (24) can thereby be pressed against the opposite surface areas of the guide recess (2). At the two sides pointing in the displacement direction, the guide part (24) bears in a continuously sealing manner against the slide body (9). <IMAGE>
