The fishing-rod holder has a spike foot (12) and at the upper end a holding element for the rod. The holding element is curved in a 90 deg arc and can be rotated by an articulation (18) between rest positions (36,38,40) offset in angular steps. The holding elements can be tilted upwards against a small resistance of the articulation (18). A releasable stop counter any tilting downwards of the holding elements. USE/ADVANTAGE - The user-friendly fishing-rod holder fixes the rod in practically any desired position and yet allows the angler to strike when he has a bite.
