<p>PURPOSE: To provide a steering device of a simple structure suitable to steer rear wheels, especially, in a four-wheel steering device by providing a linear motor having a plunger connected to an axle, and drive-controlling this linear motor by a control device. CONSTITUTION: A steering gear 30 for steering rear wheels in a four-wheel steered vehicle provides steering input to a rear spindle by a tie rod 32, and it is provided with a linear motor 37 having a plunger 38. The plunger 38 is installed in a stator 40 fixed in a car body to be capable of reciprocation, it responds to a signal from a system control module 56 to reciprocate in the stator 40, and it steers the rear wheels through the tie rod 32. A control module 56 is composed to be provided with a micro-computer having a ROM in which a control program and various constants to control steering gears are stored.</p> |
