PURPOSE:To provide optimum illuminance irrespective of distance from the illumination lamp by controlling its light quantity into the optimum illuminance in preset illumination mode. CONSTITUTION:A remote control device 13 is installed in a place to which an illumination mode is selected, for ex. at a desk for reading, and through control thereof the light quantity of an illumination fixture 12 is increased/ decreased either continuously or in steps. The remote control device 13 is equipped with a plurality of illumination mode select keys 16, and in each mode the optimum illuminance is stored. The light from this illumination fixture 12 is sensed by an illuminance meter 15 in the remote control device 13 and compared with the illuminance in the selected mode, and the control output is transmitted to the illumination fixture 12 via a remote control transmitter 18 and a signal receiver 14. By this control, the illumination fixture 12 increases its light quantity, or in case the light quantity is insufficient, command is given for moving the fixture 12 nearer or replacing the same. |
