In the case of a device for learning and practising wind surfing and sailing, a fan unit (1) comprising a motor-driven fan (4) is fixed in position in the water, but in a rotatable manner, and a surf board (3) with rigging or a sail boat is attached to the fan unit (1) via rope ends (2) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
