PURPOSE:To reduce noise in the vertical direction on the screen by providing a decoding circuit decoding a signal, an interpolation circuit obtaining sampling signals with an equal interval and a filter circuit and inserting a filter circuit attenuating a high frequency component in the vertical direction on the screen with respect to a sampling signal inserted newly by the interpolation circuit. CONSTITUTION:An output sample of an interpolation circuit outputted from an interpolation circuit 2 is inputted to a filter circuit 3 and a delay circuit 7. An encoded sample and an inserted sample exist in an output of the interpolation circuit 2. When the encoded sample is outputted to the output of the delay circuit 7, a switching circuit 4 is thrown to the position (b). When an inserted sample is outputted at an output 72 of the delay circuit 7, the switching circuit 4 is thrown to the position (a). That is, the sampling signal sampled and encoded at an ununiform interval is outputted at it is, and the sampling signal inserted newly by the interpolation circuit is outputted while being passes through the vertical filter circuit. Thus, the noise in the vertical direction on the screen is reduced without deteriorating the resolution of the television picture. |
