PURPOSE:To enhance humidity resistance by forming a water-repellent layer on each inside wall of the micropores of a porous layer to be filled with a photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The porous layer 2 provided with the micropores 3 is formed on a conductive substrate 1 made of aluminum or the like, and it is necessary to enhance the layer 2 in hardness in order to elevate durability and reliability. It is preferred for the micropores 3 to be distributed in high density and perpendicular to the layer 1 and good in straightness, and almost uniform and large in diameter, and accordingly, porous anodized aluminum, porous ceramics, and the like are used for the layer 2. The water-repellent layer 4 is formed on the inside wall of each pore 3, and the pore 3 are filled with the photosensitive material. A barrier layer 6 are formed between the pores 3 and the layer 1, thus permitting the inside walls of the micropores 3 of the porous layer 2 to be made water-repellent, and not to adsorb moisture, and accordingly, the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be stabilized in an electrostatic chargeability, independent of humidity, to prevent corrosion and interlayer dropout due to moisture adsorption, and to be enhanced in sensitivity and durability, independent of humidity.
