In the composite materials, a polypropylene having a high isotactic content, low molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution and containing grafted-on carboxyl groups is combined with a glass mat whose fibres are provided with an organosilane size (sizing agent). The composite material has high strength and rigidity and is suitable for automotive parts, for example for seat shells.
