<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an artificial dental root made of hydroxyapatite (HAP) wherein a dental root part is porous and excellent in bio-compatibility and an inner crown part is dense and excellent in mechanical strength by constituting the dental root part of a porous structure and forming the inner crown part from a dense structure. CONSTITUTION:An artificial dental root made of HAP is composed of a structure wherein the dental root part embedded in a living body is porous and the inner crown part protruding from the living body is dense and the void size of the voids present in the dental root is 50mum or more. In preparing HAP due to a sol-gel method, a foaming agent is added to a sol and gelling is performed at such a stage that the concn. of the foaming agent in a sol is inclined and, thereafter, foaming treatment and sintering are performed. Since the dental root part is porous, a regenerative bone is propagated to invade in the voids, and the artificial dental root and an alveolar bone can be bonded strongly. At this time, since the void size is 50mum or more, the regenerative bone is easily propagated to invade in the voids. Since the inner crown part has a dense structure, said crown part is excellent in mechanical strength as compared with the dental root part and easily bonded to an upper structure.</p> |
