<p>PURPOSE:To increase the function as well as to simplify the system constitution by carrying out the switching between the display by the coded characters and symbols and the direct display by dots after the both displays are changed into the video signals indapendently to each other. CONSTITUTION:Either one of the coded character/symbol information and the dot information forming an optional pattern is written into refresh memory 5 and then read out in synchronization with the raster timing of CRT synchronous circuit 1. Pattern generation circuits 8 and 9 memorize the character and symbol patterns and turn the code information of memory 5 into the pattern information which is changed to dots in synchronization with the raster scan timing signal of circuit 1 to then deliver the information directly to parallel/serial (P/S) conversion circuit 10. The dot information of memory 5 is delivered directly to P/S circuit 11. Circuit 10 and 11 convert the input data into the serial data to display it through video control circuit 13. Then the coded information of the characters or the like and the dot information are switched via gate circuit 12 and then supplied to circuit 13.</p> |
