[Class 75 (ii)] An anti-dazzle glass front for motor car headlamps or the like comprises one or more sections composed of closely disposed thin glass or other transparent strips 9 placed edgewise with respect to the light source and in a plane parallel to the axis of the lamp, each of the strips having one or both surfaces ground or similarly treated as at 10 so that direct propagation of light takes place through the forward edges of the strips without appreciable reflection. from or projection through the ground surface or surfaces. Instead of being straight the strips may be of curved or irregular formation and a lamp may include sections of vertically and horizontally arranged strips.</p> |
