CONNECTOR FOR SWITCHING OPTICAL TRANSMISSION LINE

摘要

PURPOSE:To easily perform an optical transmission line switching work in a short time by respectively providing a pair of pins which are inserted overridingly into pin holes in the 1st and 2nd ferrules on both side of a fiber inserting hole group. CONSTITUTION:End sections of a 1st tape-like multiple coated optical fiber 18A and a 2nd tape-like multiple coated optical fiber 18B are fitted to the 1st ferrule 11. The 1st coated optical fiber 18A and the 2nd coated optical fiber 18B are respectively inserted into the 1st and 2nd fiber inserting hole groups 14A and 14B respectively and the end face of each optical fibers is exposed on the end face of the ferrule 11. Moreover, a 3rd tape-like multiple optical fiber core 18C is fitted to a 2nd ferrule 12 and the optical fibers of a 3rd fiber 18A are inserted into a 3rd fiber inserting hole group 14C. Therefore, optical transmission lines can be switched and connected in one connector and the switching of the connection can be performed easily in a short time.
