PURPOSE:To form high performance, long life hydrogen storage alloy electrode by using a hydrogen storage alloy crushed so as to have a specified particle size, fluororesin, and a thermoplastic elastomer. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen storage alloy is crushed so as to have a specified particle size and an electrode is formed in the following process. The electrode is formed by using both binders of polytetrafluoroethylene or tetrafluoroethylene- hexafluoropropylene copolymer and a thermoplastic elastomer of styrene- butadiene copolymer. Otherwise, polytetrafluoroethylene or tetrafluoroethylene- hexafluoropropylene copolymer is placed on the surface of the hydrogen storage alloy particles, then the electrode is formed by further using the binder of styrene-butadiene copolymer. |
