Copper aluminum borate which is reducible under Temperature Programmed Reduction at a temperature no more than 350.degree.C and/or has a surface area of at least 5 m2/g and a pore volume of at least 0.04 cc per gram. The catalyst can be used for oxidation, dehydrogenation, conversion of syn gas, hydrogenation or treated with a reducing gas to convert the catalyst into finely divided metallic copper and support comprising aluminum borate. |
