PURPOSE:To measure the precise length of a fishing line by detecting the revoluting speed and revoluting direction of a roller turned while being pressed against the thread of a spool by a detecting means consisting of magnets, hole elements, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a fishing device is thrown into the sea, the spool 2 is turned in the direction delivering a fishing line, a rubber roller 14 pressed against the periphery of the fishing line is rotated and a worm wheel 18 is rotated at a speed proportional to the length of the delivered line. In every time when the magnets 19a, 19b arrayed with 180 deg. phase difference are opposed to the hole elements 20a, 20b having 180 deg.-theta phase difference each other, a pulse is generated. A pulse from the hole element 20a is advanced by theta at its phase from the pulse of the hole element 20b and a discriminating circuit discriminates that the spool 2 is rotated in the direction delivering the line 3. A microcomputer processes the signal and the pulse due to line length to display the line length to be momently changed on a display part 7b. |
