The present invention relates to a novel device for placing cutting-out shapes which can be fitted onto a press used in the cardboard box making and packaging industry. According to Figure 1, the invention is characterised by a placing bar 4 placed on one of the four sides of the shape 2 to be cut out with the aid of wood screws 7, and of centring pegs 11 placed in the positioning holes 5. The bar 4 is secured to the top beam of the press by means of studs 12 placed on the base plate 13. The invention is used in the industry of shaping packaging and of cardboard box making. <IMAGE>
