<p>PURPOSE:To achieve larger resistance value than in the past with high productivity by forming a predetermined resistive pattern for coarse control in a resistive film through etching treatment and forming a trace part for fine control through trimming. CONSTITUTION:A resistive film 3 consisting of a metal film is formed on the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical insulator 2 of a cylindrical resistor 1 consisting of insulating ceramics. The resistive film 3 is subjected to etching treatment to axially form a resistive pattern 5 for coarse control. The resistance value of the pattern 5 is set to be slightly lower than the desired resistance value. A trace part 6 for fine control is formed in the resistive film 3 by laser trimming, and the size of this trace part is so formed that the resistance value, after the pattern 5 is formed, is the desired value. The resistive pattern 5 can be set to have an arbitrary and precise form, so that larger resistance value than in the past can be obtained.</p> |
