PURPOSE:To obtain ultrahigh contrast and high resolving power by incorporating a specified hydrazine compd. into a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer on a support or a hydrophilic colloidal layer adjacent to the emulsion layer and interposing a dye-contg. layer between the emulsion layer and the support. CONSTITUTION:A hydrazine compd. represented by formula I is incorporated into a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer on a support or a hydrophilic colloidal layer adjacent to the emulsion layer and a dye-contg. layer is interposed between the emulsion layer and the support. In the formula I, R1 is an aliphat. or arom. group, R2 is H, alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, etc., G1 is carbonyl, sulfonyl, sulfoxy, etc., and each of A1 and A2 is H, alkylsulfonyl, arylsulfonyl or acyl. A wide exposure latitude is ensured in line image photographing and ultrahigh contrast and high resolving power can be obtd. |
