PURPOSE:To facilitate formation and make uniforme formation in a short time by mixing red lead to a paste of paste type negative plate. CONSTITUTION:70pts. cadmium oxide powder, 30pts. matllic cadmium powder, 15pts. red lead, and 1pts. synthetic fiber are mixed. ''Teflon'' dispersion is added so that the amount of ''teflon'' is 1pts. of the mixture. The mixure is kneaded with a kneader for about 30min to form a paste. The both surfaces of a nickel plate porous plate are coated with this paste in a 0.3mm. thickness. After drying, the formation of the coated plate is made in a 20% potassium hydroxide solution. After completion of charge, the plate is dicharged for one hour, then washed and dried to form a negative electrode. |
