METHOD FOR EVALUATING FREE SURFACE AND N.C. SYSTEM

The system assumes the free surface and any point in space. The distance vector is defined such that the vector is directed to any point on the free surface on a surface at right angles or normal to the free surface and such that the distance between them is a minimum. The normal vector is formed on the free surface according to the distance vector using a surface interpolation expression for the free surface. The polarity of an internal product of the distance vector and the normal vector is determined and used to distinguish the domains or regions of the free surface.
