PURPOSE: To improve the responsiveness of a system and to increase memories to be used by dynamically adjusting a system operation parameter in a multiple users computer system in accordance with a load or the system. CONSTITUTION: The operation system parameter is used in respective process control blocks 14. An operation limit or a characteristic for respective processes active in the computer system are set. It is set by setting memory positions allocated to the respective processes at the time of initialization or an operation setting control value in the setting of a register 16. A WS control value is changed in accordance with a historical process characteristic for increasing an operation set page list for reducing a page accident or for reducing an operation set page list for memory re-allocation which is possible. Thus, the block 14 is connected to an operation control system 12 through a process adjusting device 24. |
