PURPOSE:To obtain the title culture soil suitable for plant culture, capable of securing water retention properties and air permeability by molding hydrous soil containing a higher aqueous resin and a water-soluble organic polymer into granules and drying. CONSTITUTION:Hydrous soil containing 0.1-10wt.% higher aqueous resin (e.g., polyacrylic acid salt) having >=100 times water absorption ratio in water which is made into a granular state of <=2mm in a hydrous state and 0.1-10wt.% water-soluble polymer (e.g., polyvinyl alcohol) having 0.2-20dl/g intrinsic-viscosity number in 1N solution of salt is granulated and molded into spherical or pellet- like shape having 1-10mm particle diameter, dried by natural or heating drying to <=20% water content to give the aimed culture soil. Fertilizer, humus, etc., are readily added to the culture soil. |
