A medical device for treatment of urinary incontinence for male and female patients. The device (12a) is adapted to be partially inserted into the urethral canal of the patient where the device includes means (28) for causing a distention of the urethral canal (6) to prevent the passage of fluids through the urethral canal and out of the urethral orifice (7). The device is maintained in its operational position by means of an adjustable component (38) of the device, and the device may be used by most patients. |
