Odours and/or foreign matter are removed from the air space of covered clarification tanks and are used for the aeration of the aeration basins. The waste air above the latter is passed to a disposal unit for odours and/or foreign matter, e.g. a combustion unit. ADVANTAGE - This prevents compliants from residents near municipal sewage or industrial wastes disposal plants and requires a min. of investment and running costs.
